MOA Collector Spotlight: Steph and Her Hueningkai Photocard Collection Full of Memories

I’m so excited to share this month’s MOA Collector Spotlight because Steph’s answers were such a good reminder of how personal collecting can be.

Some collectors love the thrill of the hunt, some love organizing their binders, and some connect certain cards to specific moments in time. For Steph, it feels like all of those things come together in her Hueningkai collection, and that’s what makes it so special.

You can find Steph on TikTok at @steph.skrable. She’s been a MOA since debut, and has been actively collecting for about two years. In that time, she’s built a collection that’s focused entirely on Hueningkai.

And when she says she collects Hueningkai, she means it.

Steph collects just Hueningkai, including album photocards, POBs, lucky draws, merch, and signed items. She describes herself as “an absolute completionist”, and honestly, that tracks. In her words, “I will lose my mind if I don’t have every Hueningkai pc on my template," which I know a lot of collectors are going to understand immediately. She also shared that she’s so close to completing his album cards, which is such an exciting place to be as a collector.

When I asked about her favorite item in her collection, Steph chose her MOA Membership Hueningkai photocard. She shared that it was the first photocard she ever bought from MOA Market, and she loves his cute football outfit. I feel like that makes the card even sweeter-- not just because it’s cute, but because it marks the beginning of her collection in a really specific way.

That emotional connection is such a big part of what stood out in Steph’s responses. She shared that each photocard reminds her of a specific era or moment when she was really into TXT, and that looking back through her binder brings up a lot of nostalgia. She said the cards make her feel closer to TXT and MOA in a way, and honestly, I think that’s such a beautiful way to describe collecting.

For a lot of us, it’s never just about owning the card. It’s about the era you were in, the excitement of finding it, the memories attached to it, and the way your binder almost becomes a timeline of your experience as a fan.

Steph also shared that she loves the whole process of collecting— trading, finding rare cards, and slowly building up her Kai collection. think that “slowly building” part is so real. Even for completionists, collecting usually happens one card at a time, one trade at a time, one lucky find at a time. That’s part of what makes it satisfying.

She also had such a lovely perspective on the MOA collecting community. She said, “I feel like the moa collection community is so diverse and accepting, whenever I encounter a new collector I always see other moas being so kind and I think that is something that many fandoms don’t have.”

I really loved that answer because it captures something that so many of us feel. The collecting side of the fandom can be exciting and chaotic sometimes, but it can also be incredibly warm. There’s something really special about how willing MOAs are to help each other, cheer each other on, and make new collectors feel welcome.

And when it comes to advice for other collectors, Steph kept it simple in the best way: “It’s your collection so do what YOU happy! You don’t have to fit the standard of every other collector out there. have fun with it!”

It’s so easy to get caught up in what other people are collecting, what’s considered “enough,” or what a collection is supposed to look like. But the best collections are the ones that actually reflect the person building them. Whether that means collecting every card on a template, only focusing on one era, or just picking up the cards that make you smile, it should feel like yours.

And one last thing Steph shared that genuinely made me smile: “I think I am a very loyal customer to moa market, I love watching the lives and have been a part of every single one! I love this place, it’s my comfort shop if I’m being honest LOL”

That really means so much to me. Hearing that MOA Market feels like a comfort shop to someone is incredibly special. It’s exactly the kind of community feeling I always hope to create!

Thank you so much to Steph for being this month’s featured collector 💙
